2025 Holiday Appeal

Dear Friends of The Spayed Club (TSC):

As the holiday season arrives, it is a wonderful time to pause and reflect on the many blessings in our lives. Practicing gratitude helps us find warmth and contentment even in busy or challenging times, reminding us of the goodness that surrounds us. By focusing on what we have and expressing thanks, we can foster deeper connections and truly embrace the spirit of the season. At TSC, we are truly grateful for our many donors like you who continue to support our mission to end pet euthanasia in the Greater Philadelphia area. When TSC was first born 30 years ago, more than 100,000 healthy pets were being euthanized in the Greater Philadelphia shelters each year.  This number has now declined to less than 2000 per year, thanks to your support.

Meet Sky Sampson

We want to share just one of our many success stories with you.  Sky Sampson, a young adult pitbull, was first seen at TSC for vaccinations and issues with chronic ear and skin infections. She was recently acquired by her current owner who had heard about TSC.  Her current owner told TSC that Sky had been suffering from chronic ear infections and skin problems. but because of financial issues, she had not been treated adequately.
Our veterinarian found severe ear infections, inflamed and crusty skin, and significant hair loss. She was diagnosed with food and pollen allergies and treated with antibiotics, steroids, ear medication, and a special diet. Frequent baths were recommended to soothe her skin. Her owner was advised that Sky would need ongoing veterinary care and long-term medication. Sky returned to TSC multiple times over several months for rechecks and refills.
Sky is finally doing very well and is happy and playful. Chronic conditions, like Sky's, can cause a significant financial strain on owners because of the unaffordable cost of treatment and frequent visits to the veterinarian. TSC was able to provide lower cost care thanks to the support of our donors. This Holiday season, please give generously so that pets like Sky can be treated successfully.
TSC Welcomes Our Newest Team Members

Warm wishes throughout the holiday season. Thank you for keeping us in your care.

Sincerely,

Leave A Legacy:

You Can Make The Spayed Club’s mission a part of your legacy!

Beneficiary Designation is one popular type of planned giving. This usually does not require an attorney. The following assets can be designated all, or in part, to charity:

• Retirement plan

• Insurance policy

• Bank account

• Brokerage account

These usually just require the donor to sign a beneficiary designation form which can be obtained from the plan or account administrator.
