Our current community cat funds will run out at the end of August.  We are always looking for more grants to help you do TNR of community cats and will post here when funds are available.

Primary Care Vet Tech/Surgical Nurse

We are looking for an experienced veterinary technician for our Primary Care Clinic. Responsibilities include all facets of medical, laboratory and surgical assistance:
. Performing an initial evaluation of patient's health
. Checking vital statistics
. Assisting veterinarian during patient examinations, surgeries and dentals

. Collecting samples and performing basic lab work
. Executing blood draws and placing I/V catheters
. Communicating with labs and pet owners


Applicant must have 2 years experience as a vet tech. The candidate must also have excellent communication skills and enjoy working with people and their pets. Part-time or full-time. Salary commensurate with experience. Benefits available for full-time.

Spay / Neuter Vet Tech

We are looking for a person experienced in handling animals for our Spay/Neuter Clinic. Job responsibilities include:

• Intake surgical patients and report health concerns to veterinarian.

• Lift 60 pounds and work a 10-hour active day.

• Prep patients for surgery.

• Sedate, intubate and monitor patients during anesthesia.

• Perform blood draws and place I/V catheters.

• Assist in the operating room during surgery, and move patients to recovery. • Deliver post-operative instructions to owners/caretakers.

• Follow all cleaning protocols for disease management in the clinic for prep, surgery, kennels and as applies to laundry cleaning.

• Make surgical packs and scrub instruments.


Applicant must have training/experience in animal care, excellent communication skills and enjoy working with people and their pets. Part-time - 10hr day/three days a week. Salary commensurate with experience.

SPAY/NEUTER SURGERIES


MONDAY - Community/TNR Cats only in traps.  APPOINTMENTS ARE NOW REQUIRED.  Limit 3 cats per trapping project.  Drop-off is 8am to 9am.  PLEASE NOTE THE NEW EARLIER DROP-OFF TIME. 

Pick-up is 9am to 10am the following day.

If you have a large trapping project, please call the clinic and make arrangements to bring in more than 3 cats at a time.

TUESDAY - Rescue organizations only.  Appointments required.  Dog drop-off is 8am to 8:30am.  Cat drop-off is 8:30am to 9am.  Pick-up is same day at 5pm.

WEDNESDAY - Owned pets only.  Appointments required.  Dog drop-off is 8am to 8:30am.  Cat drop-off is 8:30am to 9am.  Pick-up is same time next day.
