You are viewing our recovery blanket, where animals receive individual attention under the direct supervision of our head veterinarian as they recover after surgery. Here, animals are kept warm and have their vital signs monitored until they are able to sit up, at which point they are placed in comfortable, individual kennels for further opportunity to recover.
Special thank you to Villanova astronomer Prof. Frank Maloney for generously donating and maintaining the camera!
Please note: Animals, as well as people, sometimes shake while coming out of anesthesia. This is completely normal.
