Each year, approximately four million homeless pets are euthanized in the United States. Included in that number are the more than 35,000 dogs and cats put to death in shelters in the Greater Philadelphia area. These animals are euthanized simply because there are not enough homes for them.
The Spayed Club is a nonprofit committed to solving dog and cat overpopulation in the Philadelphia area and beyond. Through education and a low-cost spay/neuter program, The Spayed Club works today to prevent tomorrow's unwanted litters from being born. As of 2011, The Spayed Club has provided funding to support the spaying and neutering of more than 60,000 animals.
